My heart goes out to my home state of Arkansas today as a man's story is unable to be published in something as simple as his high school's year book. Despite the out come of this discrimination case, this man's story will be heard nationally, and it is my call for people to listen to others stories. For it is our way to understand and educate ourselves on our world around us. It is those type of stories that draws us all as people closer together. It causes us to be open and honest to the people around us, and it helps build our communities closer together. I call to all of us to listen with open minds, open hearts, and open doors, so that we may become educated and grow closer each other. Only when we do this is when we can love and accept others the way God has called us to love: to love unconditionally.

Winter Wx Update

Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Starkville-Columbus area. The greatest impacts are starting to look more and more on the icy side with accumulations 0.25-0.5 inches. Snow will be on the lesser side 1-2". With ice being the major threat now be prepared for power outages, falling tree branches, icy bridges/roads (so if roads are icy, basically stay home, you can't really drive on ice). I hope to update you all this evening with the latest on the possible accumulations.
